Setting up a NETGEAR Router is easy, and once you've received and connected to the router, configuring it requires just a few minutes. You can easily setup your NETGEAR Router by following this brief instruction.
- Connect the ethernet wire to the back of the NETGEAR router and turn it on.
- Connect to the internet through WiFi and go to http://www.routerlogin.com or http://www.routerlogin.net in your web browser.
- A login page will be displayed. Enter the username and password that were created during the setup process. The default username and password are admin and password.
- Once logged in, go to Internet from the menu > Setup Wizard > New Connection and setup your router using the NETGEAR Genie.
- If the warning "PPPoE DSL Internet Connection Detected" displays, contact your Internet Service Provider for the Username and Password.
- Once your router is configured, the status of your internet connection will change to GOOD.
- Now go to the Wireless area of the menu to setup your Wi-Fi network.
- Select an SSID (network name) and a suitable password for your Wi-Fi network under Security Options (WPA2-PSK) Apply the changes, and you're done configuring your NETGEAR Router.
