D-Link Router Setup

D-Link Routers can be setup in a matter of minutes, and once configured and set up, your Wi-Fi connection will be established, allowing you to access to the internet through your D-Link Router.

Before continuing, confirm that the ethernet cable is connected to the modem or that an active data jack is connected to the router's ethernet port on the rear.

To configure your D-Link Router, follow these steps:

Connect your D-Link Router to a power source.

Use an Ethernet cable or WiFi to connect your PC to the router.

After connecting your PC, use a web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1. (The default gateway address varies by model; a list of default router IP addresses is provided below).

A login page will be displayed. Admin is the default username, and the password box should be left blank. Log in by clicking on Log In.

Now, using the Internet Connection Setup Wizard, you can configure and set up your router.

Enter the SSID (WiFi Name) and Key under Wireless Setup (Password).

Select a connection type from the WAN Settings screen: DHCP/PPPoE/Static (You can ask your ISP about your internet connection and the required details).

After configuring your internet connection, click Save and Connect to connect the router to the Internet.

Then, go to Wireless Settings and configure your Wi-Fi network's SSID and password.
